Shipping & Refunds

Delivery

Orders received are not processed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays and will be processed on the next business day.

As at June 1st 2017 orders will be shipped from our warehouse on Monday and Wednesday. Items that are listed as being in stock will still follow this schedule. For urgent order requests please message/email us prior to ordering so we can confirm if we can supply by your required date. 

Items that are out of stock will be added to our order cycle and will be ordered either once there is enough demand to import an order, or as per our vendor order schedule - see below.

There is option to bypass the ordering schedule if you wish to pay for shipping of a single item. This costs varies between $60 - $80 depending on location. 

Small orders are shipped via NZ Courier and larger parcels ship with New Zealand Post. All courier items must be shipped to a physical address. Derby Depot takes no responsibility for delays in delivery due to incorrect postal addresses.

Weekend delivery upgrades are available on request.

Freight is calculated once a valid delivery address has been entered.

Derby Depot reserves the right to add an additional charge to orders shipped to rural and island addresses.

Special Delivery Instructions

Should you have a special delivery instruction, please enter the relevant information in the box provided when completing your order. The delivery instructions will be passed onto our courier and driver. Please ensure that you also include your contact details should the courier driver need to contact you.

Customer Requested Delivery Times

If a specific delivery date is requested, please note that whilst we will endeavour to deliver as close to this date as possible, it cannot be guaranteed. See delivery schedule.

Goods Delivered Damaged or Lost in Transit

Should you receive goods damaged in transit please notify us within seven days of receipt.

Please leave the goods in the damaged packaging as they were delivered. This will assist with any claims.

Should you not receive your goods within the delivery schedule please email us at  info@derbydepot.nz. Please have your order confirmation on hand as reference.

Delivery of Incorrect Product

In the unfortunate event that you are sent the wrong product, please notify us immediately and we will arrange for the correct product to be delivered free of charge.

Should we require the incorrect product to be returned, we will arrange a courier to collect it at our cost.

Return and Refund Policy

We will meet our obligation under the Consumer’s Guarantee Act 1993.

Should you receive a product that is of a poor quality or defective please allow us the opportunity to replace the product or substitute it with a better product at our cost.

Custom orders are non refundable so please ensure that sizing etc is correct before ordering.

Refund Procedure for Unavailable Items

In the event that an item is unavailable but paid for at the time of ordering, our Customer Services team will contact you to arrange a refund or remedy for that item. Refunds are made using the original payment method and back to the account from which payment was originally made.

Incorrect Product Ordered

If you order a product in error, a refund will be honoured for the product provided it is returned to us within 14 days of receipt, along with the original invoice in a resalable condition, that is, unopened with packaging intact in original condition.

Returned goods that are received damaged will not be considered for a refund.
